The project sees the re-development of a former brick factory on a site facing onto Alexandra Parade. The project is situated six kms from the Melbourne CBD within a precinct featuring Fitzroy North’s Gardens, Studley Park and Yarra Bend.

The project responds to Clifton Hill’s Industrial heritage, featuring a four-storey red brick plinth topped with a recessive double storey façade of black metal plates. A rich variety of dwelling types are provided for a small project of 33 apartments, including courtyard, terrace, and duplex apartments.

Inhabitable bay windows pop from the building, enhancing the depth and play of the facade, and bringing an over scaled level of texture beyond the bricks.

TAUT has collaborated with OLA in delivering Alexandra from Marketing phase through novation to the builder up until and including Contract Administration. OLA and TAUT shared documentation responsibility, respectively split interiors and base building.
